Luna Schumacher
Luna Schumacher is a junior lecturer-researcher and PhD candidate at the Institute for Information Law (IViR). She is focused mostly on intellectual property and copyright law and within her work seeks the overlap between law and the cultural sector. She studied Law (LLB, Honours) and Information Law (LLM, cum laude) at the University of Amsterdam. Besides law, Luna has a background in Art History (BA, cum laude) and spent a semester abroad at the Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna, Italy. Within the IViR she has worked on a several research reports for the Research and Documentation Centre of the Dutch Ministry of Justice and Security, including reports on digital inheritance, a report on copyright contract law and a report on web harvesting by cultural heritage institutions.
