Mr. E.G. Valk

Etienne Valk is a junior researcher at the Institute for Information Law (IViR). He currently contributes to the Mobifree-project, researching how software developers for mobile ecosystems can better incorporate human values, and a research on data intermediaries, both by Dr. H.L. Janssen. He also assists in several studies by Prof. M.R.F. Senftleben and Dr. J.P. Poort on the music (streaming) industry.

Etienne holds a BSc in Law and a BSc in Sociology as well as an LLM in IP law (Utrecht University). Previously, he worked at the Dutch Public Prosecution Service and at a boutique law firm specialising in music and film law.
