Magdalena Jóźwiak

Associate researcher

Magdalena is a researcher at the DSA Observatory at the Institute for Information Law (IViR). Her work focuses on systemic risks under the Digital Services Act (DSA), with an emphasis on human rights infringements, proportionality analysis and the development of analytical frameworks to identify and assess risks.

Before joining IViR, Magdalena was a lecturer in European and International Law at Tilburg University and held research positions at Leiden University and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where she studied European jurisprudence and case law on human rights conflicts in the digital public sphere. She is also a fellow at the University of Milan's Information Society Law Center.

She earned her Master or Laws degree in Poznań (Poland) and an LL.M. in European Law from Católica Global School of Law in Lisbon (Portugal). Before transitioning to academia, she worked as a lawyer in Paris and gained experience as a stagiaire at the Court of Justice of the EU (Luxembourg).
