Marco Caspers
Marco is a project researcher at IViR. Het works on the FutureTDM project (Horizon2020), which assesses legal barriers and policies impacting text and data mining in the EU. Marco has experience in the research of the remuneration and contractual practice of authors in the Netherlands and also in the field of access and re-use of public sector information in the EU Member States. He graduated in 2015 with a Research Master in Information Law at the University of Amsterdam, where he also completed an LLB in Dutch Law and a BA in Musicology. Marco also studied at the University of Copenhagen for one semester. His main focus is on the interface of law and technology, with a particular interest in intellectual property law. The topic of his final thesis was originality and creativity in computer programs. During his studies, Marco also worked as a paralegal in the field of collective rights management.
